Overview

Introduction to Tactical Emergency Casualty Care

The Iridium Solutions Prehospital Trauma Medicine course is based off the body of knowledge of Tactical Combat Casualty Care ( TCCC), Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC), the US Army Combat Lifesaver’s Course (CLS), and further informed by pre-hospital civilian medical practitioners such as Paramedics and Emergency Medical Responders, both in urban and remote settings.

The material presented has been vetted by professional medical personnel and is taught in accordance with the current TECC guidelines.

IRIDIUM SOLUTIONS INC is a REGISTERED EDUCATIONAL PARTNER with the COMMITTEE on TACTICAL EMERGENCY CASUALTY CARE.

Upon completion of this course, you will have seen, heard, read and practiced the primary trauma interventions known to provide the greatest increase in a trauma casualty’s chances for survival.

You will learn how and why to evaluate blood loss and STOP BLEEDING
QUICKLY; When to call emergency services and how to effectively communicate your situation and desired resources.

This course is different from standard Fist Aid in that it prioritizes life threatening injuries, and provides the skills and knowledge to deal with them. This course addresses the M.A.R.C.H.E. mnemonic, and is consistent with the current Committee On Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (C-TECC) guidelines.

The course is 6-8 hours long, and is held in Prince George, BC. Location will be confirmed by email once registration is complete. Classes are non-refundable within 7 days from the scheduled date. Course participants are responsible for providing their own transportation to/from the event, and for their own food and beverages.

Cost includes a Control massive Bleeding (CMB) Trainer Package that students will use through the course of the class, and then retain to use for self practice at home, or in the event of an emergency, as a fully functional Trauma Kit.

When combined with the course, the items in the kit are sold at a reduced rate. CMB Trainer Packages are not sold separately and are only available for our CMB students (most of the kit contents ARE available individually on the website).
