Canadian Firearms Safety Course (PAL)

Overview

Welcome to your Canadian Firearms Safety Course.

The CFSC is a one-day course designed to fulfill the training requirements for the Canadian Firearms Program prior to your application for a Non-Restricted License.

You will learn and practice fundamental safety procedures, loading and unloading techniques, safety and trigger functions of all types of modern non-restricted firearms. In addition, the course will cover storage, transport and securement requirements for firearms and ammunition.

The course is taught using disabled firearms and dummy ammo, with no live fire, and is appropriate for any experience level.

This course is delivered though Iridium Training by Ed Hubbell, a certified firearms instructor in BC/YT, as well as a licensed security professional, licensed body armour salesperson and trauma medicine instructor.

Ed will demystify common confusions related using, transporting and storing your firearms and ammunition, according to current legal standards, and set you up for success as you enter the field of licensed firearm ownership.

Cost of the course is $260.00, which includes GST.  Class runs from 08:30hrs until 16:30hrs, with exams immediately following until 18:00hrs or until everyone is finished. Please plan to bring your lunch, as the course location is outside city limits and the lunch break will be insufficient to go into town and find food. All instructional materials required will be provided, however if you have already purchased a personal copy of the CFSC Student manual feel free to bring it along. Class location will be shared with paid registrants on the course.

If you cannot make the class due to life events, we understand. Full refunds will be given for any course cancellations 48hours or more before the class. Inside of 48hrs, a credit will be placed on your file and we will get you on the next available class.

Note: this cost is based on local training within the Prince George, BC area. For travel outside that area to your location, additional charges will apply.
